you for a while

I’m not going to lie, I didn’t stay up to catch Tori on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson this evening…I went to bed and woke up at 1:00 and fully intend on going back to bed in about 10 minutes. I guess that makes me a lazy Tori fan.

But I wanted to put this deal up on YouTube (see video below) and write a note in case you missed it. There’s nothing better to waking up to Tori Amos in the morning! I do apologize, due to my technical stupidity, I cut off the first two lines. Maybe someone will post a better one soon.

She sang Bouncing off Clouds from American Doll Posse. This was obviously pre-recorded given that Tori has a show tonight. She opted for the thinner-banged red wig (perhaps she had yet to buy the big-banged ensemble) and wore the coolest outfit…a gray suit-type getup with shorts and laced stockings. She, of course, sang beautifully and unlike her performance on Leno the other night she actually pronounced the entire word “clouds” instead of singing “Claw-hee-hee” which I much prefer.

No. Interview. Grrrrr…don’t you feel cheated when you stay up (or wake up) to watch her on a Late Show or a Late Late Show and you don’t get a dose of Tori quirkiness? Mr. Ferguson just stayed in his seat and didn’t even get up to give T. a hug! Jay and Dave always give her a hug! Whatev–maybe he’s a lazy Tori Amos fan too.

Update:  Must apologize to Mr. Ferguson for calling him a lazy Tori Amos fan.  Clearly she performed twice this evening and after her performance of Big Wheel she was invited over to the couch for an interview…A very cute interview involving sausages, Cornish ghosts, and Pip’s rubber.
