you for a while

As much anticipated, Tori Amos graced the stage of the Tonight Show performing the latest single off of American Doll Posse: Bouncing off Clouds. She was accompanied by her band, looked stunning in a strapless black dress (similar to the one she wore on Rove, but not white) and red heels. The Tori wig appears to be turning more orange by the day, although the bangs are thinning up a bit. As always, T made great eye contact with the camera so as to say hello to all of her homebound ears with feet.

Two complaints…she didn’t get invited over to the couch. While this may have been purposeful (Leno and other talk show hosts appear to be intimidated by her), the real reason was because the show went on for a minute after it was supposed to end. So, not only was I worried for Tori that her dress might fall down (did I mention it was strapless?), but I was worried that she was going to be cut off at the end.

The guys were great, and Tori was flawless…even as she toyed with the melody a bit. Just what we needed to get pumped up for the American leg of her world tour. Thanks T! I will post a real screenshot once someone is kind enough to put the show up on youtube.
