China2NY Fave: Tori Amos on MTV’s Revue (Old School)

I’m still travelin’ the United States on internship interviews, but I found myself near a computer and wanted to say hello.
I want to thank Kelli for the wonderful series of Legs & Boots reviews that appeared last week. This has been one of my more successful categories…hopefully it made everyone better prepared for their boot purchase experience.
There are things going on in the Tori Amos world since the tour ended (i.e. updates re: The Light Princess, Comic Book Tattoo, and some magazine interviews) and I’ll have to catch up in that arena when I’m home for good.
Until then! I’m so excited that someone posted this series of videos on YouTube. This was one of my favorite Tori Amos TV appearances/interviews ever (barring Storytellers and Unplugged of course). I wanted to post them here for your viewing/reminiscing pleasure.
This is Tori’s appearance on a short-lived MTV interview series called “Revue.” In it, she talks about growing up in a Christian home (”Gird yer loins, Myra Ellen!”), meeting Robert Plant (”Tori, Dawling, this is Robert.”), her miscarriage (”It was like slow motion.”), and going to the Peabody (”Did they realize how many Scooby Doo episodes I would miss if I learned this?”)…among other things of course.
