you for a while

Like many hard core Ears with Feet, I check out Tori Amos-related Ebay auctions on a twice daily basis. I was showing husband a few of the cooler items up this weekend while simultaneously balking at all of the crap that is out there. He suggested that I might use YouForAWhile to promote some of the better, more interesting auctions so that other fans wouldn’t have to sort through all of the bogus stuff to get to the real hot Tori Amos items. I thought it was a great idea, especially when he suggested I use the phrase “Tbay.”

It may take a day or two to get running, given the holiday and that there are some connections to make. I will probably sign up as an affiliate as this would be a great way to offset some of my server costs (we have a big one, husband is a web-guy) since ringtones and adsense aren’t doing too much for me. In addition to posting on a few supercool items, I may also open a “gifts for Tori Amos fans” section…that is, if I can find enough room in my navigation up at the top of the page. That’ll take some creativity and some amount of html fancy schmancy-ness on my part.

What this means for fans (both Tori Amos fans and my few YouForAWhile peeps) is that you may want to sign up for the YouForAWhile rss feed, as Tbay items will be quite timely in nature, given the fast-pacedness of the online auction world. You wouldn’t want to miss out! Oh…and I may ask you guys to help me out if I’m obviously promoting something that is completely bogus. I have quite an eye for b.s. auctions, but I can also be gullible. So, call me out via a comment if something smells fishy to you.

Let’s see if I can’t get this thing off the ground in the next couple of days…
