Tori Amos Song Interpretation Update: Hotel

Just finished Hotel over on the song interp pages…feel free to comment w/your take! There is no wrong or right way to decipher a T song, most def.
It took me 1 week to finish ALL song interp pages for the first three albums. Why on earth its so slow goin’ this round I do not know. Ima keep truckin’ though…two more and Choirgirl is complete.
I’m in the middle of reading Neil Gaiman’s “Neverwhere” right now… where Richard is having his first experience with the traveling London Below market. So, I’m not quite sure this is right, but supposedly “the Velvets” is a reference to a group of characters in the book. I wish I could describe the reference in more detail, but the timing is off. I’ll have to get back to you on that. Anyone who has read this book is especially encouraged to comment…but don’t give away the ending!!!
