Brief Summary: The message of Twinkle is clear, and the perfect ending to our chaotic, sad, angry, and intriguing break-up story. The girl, who has was on an emotional roller coaster for the last 17 songs and lost herself in the process, is ready to find herself again. In doing so she find her inner spark, the part of her that wasn’t lost and is ready to shine bright into her future. Twinkle is hope.

Tori’s Comments: “Yet the record isn’t finished until Twinkle. It just wasn’t finished until that song. That level of the flame–feeding the flame. Because after all the stars, the fire, I had to go into that place of becoming that instead of trying to find it again.”

Fan Comments/Interpretations: Most fans agree that Twinkle is Tori’s “new beginning” although some are convinced that twinkling represents the fading away of some important part of oneself or the smallness of women in a man’s world.
