I don’t make any statement one way or another about the authenticity of the autograph (although it looks strikingly similar to a real Tori Amos autograph). However, the reason I am drawn to this item is that I think it would be a good picture to hang in an office…or any professional setting. In other words, you can’t really go and hang an American Doll Posse poster in your cubicle or office to proudly display your Tori Amos fandom. Your boss probably won’t like it and, if you are like me, as a young person trying to start a career in the adult world, I’m trying to repress my urges to buy college dorm room decorations.

But this cartoon…its cute, it tells a story, it says you are a fan, and looks like everyday office decor. It is still a conversation piece, but its more demure. Does this make sense? I’d totally buy this if, you know, I wasn’t marketing it to all of you guys and if I had the money. Almost 42 dollars is a bit pricey, and I’d want to be pretty sure the autograph was authentic. But, put it in a $4.99 frame from Wal-Mart, wrap it up, and slap it with a bow and you have a wonderful holiday gift for a special Toriphile in your life. (I think it should come in a frame for 42 dollars myself…but hey…)
