you for a while

Tori Amos news has slowed down a bit…she appears to be taking a much deserved week off in between the Australian leg of her ADP tour and the American. So, whats a Tori blogger left to do? Make totally random, puerile loose associations between Tori Amos and hot-for-the-moment pop stars. But, hey, I used the word puerile so this post can’t be that vapid.

So…it appears as though Avril Lavigne is channeling Tori’s alter ego “Isabelle” perhaps in a vain attempt to capture some of Tori Amos’ longevity and/or devoted fan base. OR in an attempt to channel her inner I-stand-for-justice-truth-freedom-and-democracy self. OR because she saw Tori having all the dress up fun and wanted to have herself a ball too. Or, maybe, to be fair…Avril is also trying to harvest and garner respect for the political side of the feminine…albeit in a you’ll-never-pull-it-off-like-Tori-Amos-does kind of way.

I know this is not true…so Avril fans settle down. Avril’s stylist probably raided the studio’s wardrobe chest and said, “Here…wear this…its cute and stuff.” Or…maybe both Tori Amos and Avril Lavigne are just on Cher’s jock.

But I will point out that Tori Amos looks much more fly in the platinum, banged wig than the girl 20 years her junior. AND T makes for a sexier and much more believable (not to mention talented) pianist…but, hey, I’m not biased or anything.
