This video has been up and around the YouTube.com block a time or two already…I’m a little late. But, what this teacher has helped these children achieve is unimaginable…and the they are able to meet Tori and touch her heart as well…well, it makes for a very touching video that must be posted on every Tori Amos blog.The children are
ecstatic to meet Tori, whipping out their cell phone cameras to catch a shot of their beloved red-headed idol. They choose to sing Dragon for her and Tori is a bit surprised that the kids even know Dragon…it being such a new song at the time. But the PS22 chorus performed the song as flawlessly as they would have had they been practicing the song for 10 years. And Dragon sounds great with the guitar.The performance brings Tori to tears. She returns to the children to thank them and to share a word or two with the chorus teacher. Not only to the children wish to sing
for Tori, they want to sing with her. Eventually (you’ll have to go to youtube.com to watch the other vids), they agree that Tori will sing Father’s Son while the children sing the echo. Many of the kids tear up…you can tell that this has been one of the happier days of their young lives. And Tori’s.And if you can spare a second or two, look around for the after-footage of the children on the bus discussing their day with Tori. I want my kids to go to this school.
