Happy Halloween! From Tori Amos

Devil Tori, by Flickr.com User Tasteful_tnThe Pittsburgh crowd was not disappointed when Tori Amos and the boys took the stage for the much anticipated Halloween show. Sexy Miss Santa dressed up as a beautiful, seductive angel and Tori a fiendish but ever-so-lovely angel. John boogied on the bass as Count Dracula. Guitar man (just know he’s not Caton) was a viking and Mattie the drummer was the hockey-mask donning Jason. Tash made a cameo appearance as a black-wigged, purple-dress wearing something or other (but a cute something or other) announcing the winner of the pumpkin contest in her adorable British accent. The Bose was even dressed up in bat decals. And, obviously, there were goodies galore. The stage was decked out for the season and the crowd must have been a manic mess of costumes…I hear mention of Jesus (so funny) and Santa Claus.

The Pittsburgh setlist was extraordinary–Santa opened with her fave tune, Body and Soul and followed it up with Hoochie Woman and You can Bring Your Dog (among others). Tori’s highlights included Sugar, Caught a Lite Sneeze, Sister Janet, and (of course) Happy Phantom.

Angel Santa, by Flickr.com User Tasteful_tnThe reviews from the critics are good…but not very meaningful. Kate McCaffrey from the Post-Gazette was a bit too distracted by the costumes, the lights, the drums, and the audience to give a solid review of Tori’s performance, although…this was the point of this evening! All about fun, good songs, and goodies.

The pictures posted here were taken by Tim Notari (licensed under Creative Commons distribution) who obviously had wonderful seats.
